How long is the tour?
Tales of Tel Aviv is a half-day tour that starts at 9am at Hatachana (Tel Aviv's old trainstation) and ends around 12-12.30pm in old Jaffa. It is possible to extend this tour until 3pm for a full tour in Old Jaffa & lunch by the sea.
For whom is the tour suitable?
Tales of Tel Aviv is suitable for all ages and stroller- and wheelchair- friendly. Do keep in mind, that although we don't cover a great distance, this is a walking tour. The tour is created to suit people from all cultures & religious backgrounds: we really explore the authentic Tel Aviv, which means tasting famous local dishes, visiting local businesses from different cultural backgrounds, historic highlights, etc.
Which places do we visit?
This is the tour schedule (of course we can adapt it for you):
- 9AM meet your guide at The old train station in Neve Tzedek
- Discover the beautiful Neve Tzedek neighborhood & learn about local life of Tel Aviv
- Visit a famous art exhibition from Kibbutz Be'eri that was brought to Tel Aviv after October 7 (the art is not about October 7)
- Explore the hipster neighborhood of Florentin & learn about the world famous graffiti, especially after October 7
- Try the famous local drink 'gazoz' at one of Tel Aviv's most famous cafes, located in the spice market of Levinsky
- Visit one of Tel Aviv's hidden & most surprising neighborhoods that holds a fascinating history
- End your tour in Old Jaffa
OR continue your tour (if you choose a full-day tour) exploring the ancient streets of Old Jaffa, learn about the local artists who live there, visit the famous Zodiac Fountain & Wishing Bridge, the oldest working port in the world & have lunch by the sea.
