Explore Eilat the Tales of Israel way!

Must-Have Experiences

Dolphin Reef

The one place in Eilat that everyone should experience. Try an introductory dive and meet the dolphins in open water — no experience needed. Afterwards, settle into the Stalbet Bar for a drink under the trees, or book a Watsu session in their warm relaxation pools, a floating water massage that is unlike anything else you'll do on this trip.

Jeep Tour to the Amram Pillars

Head into the desert north of the city to see towering sandstone columns in shades of red, orange and purple. Going by jeep means you reach the dramatic viewpoints most visitors never see, with a guide who knows exactly where to stop.

Hike the Red Canyon

A short but spectacular hike through a narrow canyon of deep red rock, with ladders and handrails along the way. It's manageable for most fitness levels and one of the most photogenic spots in the south.

Avoid June – August · Too hot to hike safely

A Relax Day at Mosh Beach

Every Eilat trip needs one day with no plan at all. Mosh Beach is the place for it — grab a lounger, order something cold, and spend the day between the water and the shade.

Snorkeling at the Coral Beach Nature Reserve

Israel's most protected stretch of reef, and the best snorkeling in the country. Bring or rent a mask and follow the marked trails straight out from the shore into clear water full of coral and fish.

Explore Timna Park

Ancient copper mines, Solomon's Pillars and wind-carved rock formations spread across a huge desert valley. Go early in the day, drive between the sites, and leave time for the arches and the mushroom rock.

Where to Stay

Best overall

Isla Brown Eilat

Our top pick across the board — stylish rooms, a great location and food that is genuinely worth staying in for.

Budget & pet friendly

Mr. Soof by TLV2GO

The smart choice when you're watching the budget, and one of the easiest places to book when you're travelling with animals.

Private beach

Herbert Samuel The Reef Eilat

Its own beach right on the reef, which makes it perfect if diving and snorkelling are the reason you came.

Luxury

Herbert Samuel Royal Shangri-La

Private villas with their own pools, for when the trip calls for complete privacy and a little indulgence.

Where to Eat

Halev Harachav

Best kosher Israeli

Israeli cooking done properly — the meal to book when you want the food to be the event of the evening.

Greco

Greek by the sea

Greek plates right on the beach. Come hungry, order a lot of small dishes and stay for the sunset.

Tulum Beach

Kosher late night

Beachfront dining that keeps going long after everywhere else has quietened down — the answer to a late arrival or a long day in the sun.

Omer's

Best quick bite

Fast, kosher and reliably good. Ideal for lunch between the reef and the desert when you don't want to lose an hour to a sit-down meal.

Bianca

Kosher Italian

Excellent pasta and pizza, and the easy crowd-pleaser when you're eating with family or a group with different tastes.
